Questing for ‘casual’ flows in unemployment

Eleven million rows of data, path analysis methods and structural equation models plus a deadline make for late nights in an ultimatley incomplete quest to unravel 'casual' flows within a systemic model of employment and unemployment.
Government policy would be improved if we understood for example, why a 20 year old male is more likely to be unemployed; how much of this effect is due to his age, how much to his gender, to his lower liklehood of completing year 12, and how much to his tendency to live in a more remote area.
Answewring these kinds of questions is the promise of PA/SEM methods. Contact me if you help progress this work to more frutiful conclusions. The proof of concept is in the bag. I mean... in the report. Check it out below.
